When this spell is cast, it opens up a planar portal beneath the unlucky sod it was cast on and drags him down into the Abyss. The portal remains open while the poor basher’s inside, and all bystanders can hear on this end of it is the sod’s incessant screaming as he or she is torn apart by the Tanar’ri. After a round (but what seems like eons to the victim), the target – or whatever happens to be left of him by then – is spewed back through the portal.
If the victim saved, then he comes out looking unscathed. But, while he sensed nothing at first, after a split second he will suffer 5d10 damage as he takes multiple delayed attacks from all angles.
On the other hand, if he failed his saving throw, then all that comes back through the portal are body parts.
