    Arothir: Aside from Jess’s quivvering
    Arothir: She doesn’t answer…merely holds her head in one hand and clutches her other arm with her other hand
    Shenvallei: “Let us wait for the condition to pass. Unless you have a way of removing fear.”
  • Alusair darts back to Jess, sliding to her knees next to her. Her sword clatters to the ground as she wraps her in an embrace. “Wish I did.. I’m a paladin, not a miracle worker.” *
    Arothir: Jess eventually calms down
    Arothir: Van: This is certainly…an interesting place…
    Alusair: “Aren’t they always?”
    Shenvallei: “It is. But we arent finding any answers.”
    Alusair: “We’re finding plenty of answers.. just not to our old questions.”
    Shenvallei: Im going to search the rest of the coffins.
    Arothir: You go to search the other coffin?
    Arothir: There are only two in between this set of pillars
    Shenvallei: Yes first for traps then to open.
    Arothir: No visible traps…
    Arothir: You open the coffin…STR CHECK!

    Arothir: Shen shoves the lid off, gently lowering it to the ground

    Arothir: A claw snakes out of the coffin, swinging mere inches from your face. Luckily, you backed up just enough.
    Shenvallei: “What in the name of…”
    Arothir: A wierd, twisted human with claws, patches of hair and a look of desperation hauls itself out of the coffin
    Arothir: What is has for clothes are…well..tattered.
    Shenvallei: “Undead!” I turn and run.

    Shenvallei: I move to Van and Alusair looking at each of them to see how badly hurt they are.
    Arothir: Van: ...what…why do I feel so weak…?
    Arothir: Van seems…well, not all that bad off, but he doesn’t look good.
  • Alusair slumps down against the wall. *
    Shenvallei: “Your lifeforce was drained by the undead.”
    Shenvallei: Does Alusair look the same?
    Arothir: indeed
    Alusair: “Second time.. you never get used to it…”
    Arothir: Van gasps “I never want to…”
    Arothir: Jess: Yes…It is rather unpleasant…
    Shenvallei: “I think its time we go.” I wander over to the coffin that the wight came out of and do a quick search.
    Alusair: “Leave if you want.. I’m not going farther than the tower above us.”
    Arothir: There’s a pouch of 50 gold coins in there
    Shenvallei: “Dont you want to get to safety? You mean you want to press on?”
    Arothir: Jess goes and comforts both Van and Alusair
    Alusair: “I’ll fall back to the tower to try and recover from this.. but I’m not leaving until we’ve searched this place.”
    Arothir: Van nods. “I’m…angry…but…too weak to be angry about it right now..”
    Alusair: “Either way.. with Van and I weakened like this.. its too dangerous to keep going.”
    Shenvallei: “A rest then.”
    Alusair: “Aye. Back topside, we replace the hatch – weight it down if necessary.”
    Alusair: “The tower’s ruins will provide cover.”
    Shenvallei: New spell list incomming on whisper.
    Arothir: You head up?
    Alusair: Yeah.. head up
    Arothir: You climb up
    Arothir: The hatch is weighed down
    Arothir: You set up camp?
    Alusair: yeaaaaaaahhh…
    Alusair: set up a fire.. not much of one.. just enough to keep things lit

    Shenvallei: I wait as long as Alusair and Van need. I take main watch and let them get as much rest as possible.

    Arothir: A day passes…and Alusair and Van look at peak form, although Van almost didn’t make it.

    Shenvallei: Search for traps and move ahead.

    Arothir: You have come to the end of the hallway!
    Arothir: In the midle of which is an brazier
    Alusair: “Doesn’t make sense. Vargouilles had to come from somewhere.”
    Arothir: There is a broken statue forward to your left, of a woman holding a finger to her lips
    Arothir: Straight ahead is a set of iron double doors
    Arothir: Likewise to the left and the right
    Arothir: To the left, there’s another bed mat covered in blood and a headless skeleton
    Arothir: also, in front of the right door
    Arothir: another headless skeleton
    Arothir: and directly to your left, another empty bedroll
    Shenvallei: examine the statue.
    Alusair: “Right.. two headless skeletons.. Thats two.. plus the original.. thats three..”
    Alusair: “We’ve killed four.”
    Shenvallei: do I recognize the woman?
    Arothir: Nossir
    Arothir: Very unfamiliar
    Shenvallei: Hmm. Ok examine the doors and listen at them.
    Arothir: you examine and listen at them

    Arothir: Many many wings.

    Arothir: A series of pillars, with a hallway which eventuallyturns to your right.
    Arothir: There’s a large pile of bones after the first set of pillars.
    Arothir: It probably reaches to the top of Jess’s head
    Arothir: It’s mostly arm and leg bones, topped by a few skulls…not many ribcages…
    Shenvallei: “By the gods, is this a crypt or a body pit?”
    Alusair: “Can’t it be both?”
    Shenvallei: “I suppose it can.”
    Shenvallei: Continue forward and turn right.
  • Alusair hangs back with Jess, given her past fondness for bodies, bones, and other forms of dismemberment **
    Arothir: When you turn right, there’s still a bit more which continues to the left

    Arothir: Oh, just to give you dimensions, the coffin looks roughly 10 feet long

    Alusair: but given a few rounds focusing on it, I should be able to detect if theres an additional aura inside
    Arothir: Oh, there is
    Arothir: There’s…quite a powerful evil aura inside that coffin.

    Shenvallei: Search the room the coffin is in.
    Arothir: You head straight down towards the coffin… listen check
    Alusair: “I hate to state the obvious, but theres something in that coffin.”
